Yes, EF travelers will do touristy stuff. They are, after all, tourists. However, EF makes an effort to provide fun, sometimes out of the box activities. Groups are paired with hand-picked, local guides to help with the trip. Our guide knew Belize like the back of his hand, and took us to hidden treasures throughout the country!

Almost every single trip includes a free day or two to explore a city or other destination at your own leisure. During my trip to Belize, we had most evenings to ourselves as well to do as we pleased, as our hikes and other excursions ended in the late afternoon.
One of my favorite memories from my EF trip is finding a hidden outdoor paintball arena in the mountains! I journeyed up to the site with a few other travelers using public transportation (old school busses) and in the bed of a pickup truck. Belize Jungle Paintball was such fun!
