I love high ropes courses. The adrenaline of dangling high in the trees, pushing myself physically with obstacles, and speeding down ziplines is my idea of a great day. I have been to quite a few high ropes and zipline parks and courses, but there is one in Florida that has always stuck out to me: Treeumph! Adventure Course.

What is Treeumph! ?

Treeumph! Adventure Course, located in Bradenton, Florida, is a 14-acre park full of courses, ziplines, and obstacles in the trees. There are 5 courses in total, and the difficulty increases with each course. Smaller ziplines are located within each course, with an enormous “Triumph” zipline separated from the rest of the courses. Most guests do not complete all 5 courses, as the final course is immensely more difficult than the rest. Don’t worry if you feel too tired to finish all of the courses; you can still fly down the Triumph zipline!

The staff at Treeumph! are incredibly helpful and friendly. You will find rescue guides at the top of the courses, ready to shout out helpful hints and rescue you if you so wish. I can honestly say that being “rescued” at the park is part of the fun! There’s nothing like a big strong rescue guide lowering you down from the tops of the tall Florida trees.

What to Expect at Treeumph!

Upon arrival, you will be asked to sign a waiver stating the potential risks of exerting yourself in the Florida heat, and that you are healthy enough to do so. You will watch a very entertaining video describing the rules of the park, how to call a guide if needed, and how to use the equipment. A guide will then take you over to physically show you how to use your climbing gear. Don’t worry: it’s pretty foolproof and easy to use! After you are trained, you are free to tackle the adventurous courses.

Treeumph! is a very physically demanding adventure. The guides take their jobs very seriously, and will not hesitate to issue you a refund and ask you to leave if you show up hungover, or otherwise unable to safely climb. Remember: Florida is HOT, especially in the summer! Dress appropriately, and hydrate well the day before and the morning of your visit. I would also highly recommend purchasing a water pass, which allows you free and unlimited bottles of water throughout the park during your climb.

Plan Ahead: Before you Climb

Treeumph! gets very busy during the winter seasons. However, during any season, I highly suggest making reservations for yourself and the rest of your party at least a day in advance. You can reserve spots here. Plan to climb in the morning: the park does not accept new climbers after noon! It takes anywhere from 3 to 6 hours to complete the courses, depending on your skill level and how crowded the park is.

Wear athletic clothing and closed-toed shoes. Tie back long hair, and if you have them, wear some athletic gloves to protect your hands against the cables. They have fingerless cotton gloves for sale, but I find that my weight lifting gloves work much better.

Treeumph! is one of my favorite places for adventure, and I climb there often! I have become very close with the staff, and the park is great exercise and a lot of fun! It’s the perfect day trip outside of Sarasota, Tampa, or even Orlando Florida.
