Recently, for my best friend’s 22nd birthday, I decided to take her to a restaurant that would excite her. She is an intense Dragon Ball Z fan, so I took her to the nerdiest restaurant in Orlando: Soupa Saiyan.
Soupa Saiyan is a Dragon Ball Z themed restaurant, located in the less-touristy area of Orlando. As a result of the hole-in-the-wall exterior, Soupa Saiyan is a secret to most tourists. Serving an Americanized version of pho soup, each specialty dish is named after a major character in Dragon Ball Z. The food was cheap, but bursting with flavor. You could even build your own custom pho! I ordered the ‘Vegeta’rian bowl, a vegetarian noodle dish named after the character Vegeta!
We sat in awe while slurping our soup and gazing at the fan art plastered all over the walls and ceiling of the fan haven. Most importantly, the decorations were straight out of the show. It was like stepping into our favorite anime! We will definitely be back to the nerdiest restaurant in Orlando for a great bowl of pho in the future.
What’s the nerdiest place that you’ve ever been to?
